So I'm a little confounded about this...On my laptop, when I connect my Q2 to the computer I can edit the playlists just by double clicking on them from the playlist folder. Now on my desktop, I cannot open the playlists at all. Some solutions I found to this are to open the playlist in wordpad or notepad, this does not work. Has anyone had a similar experience? I think that it has something to do with when I connect the player to my desktop, and the system is set as MTP, the computer thinks it is a digicam and won't read what is on the player. On my laptop, with the system set as MTP, it recognizes it as the player. What should I do?

What are your WMP and Windows version on your desktop PC?
Check you are well in WMP11. Then try to update/reinstall drivers in the devices manager
