Compatible bluetooth speakers

Newbie alert! Just got my R1 (all good so far). I was looking at Sony's MBS200 bluetooth speaker and wondered if it is compatible? R1 manual says that only stereo headsets are compatible. Although I am talking about a speaker, not a headset I was worried that as it is only one speaker it must be mono and therefore might be incompatible?

I read that A2DP is supported by the R1, but I can't find any service other than object push. I've got a working A2DP connection between a laptop and a pair of Bluetooth speakers, but even with the laptop off, I can't discover the speakers from the R1. With the laptop I can see the R1 and transfer a business card using object push - and I can push files to the laptop Bluetooth inbox from the R1 (even though the laptop doesn't show that the file transfer service is available). It's all a bit screwy.
