Size of the Clip+

I see the dimensions being listed as 2.36 x 1.36 x 0.6, but does the depth include the clip?
I'm asking this because I want to cut up an Eclipse mints tin and place the clip+ inside there and open up a few holes to be able to use it. I'd prefer to not break the clip off as I don't think I could bring myself to destroy something brand new.
The tin is 0.7 inches deep, just in case you want to measure.

It definitely does, because the clip is nonremovable.
