Hi guys,
I have a guy on gmp3 who tries to play his WMA DRM musics on his Zen X-fi 2 but that doesn't work. However he transfered them using WMP and the DRM compatibility is written in the official specifications. Is it due to the MSC/UMS protocol? Thanks for your help

Hi,
My understanding is the x-Fi 2 support WMA that are DRM9 or below. The latest specification is DRM10, so your friends WMA's may be DRM10 and the X-Fi 2 does not support file encrypted to that version of the specification. Hope this helps. |

Thanks for the reply.
But do you know how to check the DRM version?

One way is to load it into Windows Media Player and right-click, select properties and read the version of audio codec. Otherwise, I do not know another way.
