You sure are a brave lady, I've got mine open because it's screen is dead but I wouldn't dare to open it if it still worked :P

Thank you for the tip on removing the connector from the HDD. I'll be buying a zif enclosure box soon so I can use the 30GB HDD instead of it laying here collecting dust so I needed to know how to get it off. Thanks !
If you need help in something mp3 you can ask me =)

The music is by Mark Ronson, from his album Version. The song is called Inversion =]

It was either that, or something from the Lazytown soundtrack because I didn't have many songs that were 1:40-ish

My ZVM actually isn't working at the mo [dopped it, HDD go smush, dead ZVM ] So I was taking it apart anyway to replace it with a 60Gb Samsung HDD that will hopefully arrive soon [Anomo - music on the bus to college = a lot of ]

If it helps one person to take apart/put back together their ZVM without damaging it, I'll be a happy bunny ^_^

Default Replaced HDD, but first "Hardisc Prob." Now "Firmware Prob."

I have the new HDD in, but it did not work. First I got a "Hard Disc Problem" error, then when I installed the firmware, I got "Firmware Problem". Now, it will not even show up on my PC. Not sure just what to do next.
What do you all think?

Many thanks for this video, I had just posted a link with the question on 'how to remove the connection strip from the h/drive', and this answered the question.

Would it be possible to get the video re-posted?
Maybe on youtube or vimeo?

I'm looking forward to watching it, as I an never remember how to detach my hard drive!
