My x1050 has an option "Add to Wishlist/Remove from Wishlist". According to the manual, it "adds the song to the wish list to purchase it on the service corresponded software./ Removes the song from the wish list."
If the song is already on my player, why would I want to buy it again? Am I missing something here?

I'm not sure tbh, would be good if they had a 'add to playlist' thing

It's the same on my Sony - it's for subscription music, where you don't actually own the song but would like to buy it. The shopping basket icon appears, and next time you sync with your PC your purchases will be updated.
Why anyone would want to buy music online is another matter. |

On devices with Wifi there is the potential of connecting to and downloading from an online music store. The ipod Touch does it. The Zunes have their Marketplace. The X has WiFi and web access, so it has the same potential for direct-buy online store, but Sony hasn't got one. I think that Wishlist option is all about wishfull thinking on their part.
