WMA Lossless is not gapless on Gigabeat S
My Gigabeat S has been in a drawer for a couple years due to the apparent non-existence of fresh new batteries. I recently decided to resurrect it because I listen to opera and need gapless. I ripped two operas to WMA Lossless but there are sizable gaps between the tracks. I am using the original software, which I like. I have read that lossless is always gapless. Has anyone gotten gapless playback to work on their S?

Never tried WMA-L, nor the original firmware for any long period of time. I know that the alternative Rockbox firmware definitely supports gapless on the S, but I'm not certain about the OF.
