I noticed the lowest is 80 HZ, but I like it to go to 20HZ, 40HZ and 60HZ.
Is there any mods to do this? |

Just wondering. What are you listening to? Contrabassoon & Tuba recitals?
Most instruments do not reach that low of a frequency. |

It's a shame too because the older Cowon players (like the G3) was able to do 60Hz.
Cowon are you listening? 50-60Hz is the sweet spot for bass (not 70Hz nor 80Hz). |

Limitation in the hardware, so it's just the way it is.

How so? |

Because that's the way they are designed. What you're asking for is getting into serious sub-bass territory, and generally subs need a lot more power than a 2-way or 3-way speaker to pump out those frequencies. As a result it's a limiting factor when making a PMP.

In short: it *does* affect 20, 40, 60Hz the same way it affects 80Hz. Datasheet (look at page 115 ff. to see how Wolfson implements an EQ): http://www.wolfsonmicro.com/products/WM8985/
