Anyway to enable 20-60Hz in EQ?

I noticed the lowest is 80 HZ, but I like it to go to 20HZ, 40HZ and 60HZ.

Is there any mods to do this?

Most instruments do not reach that low of a frequency.

It's a shame too because the older Cowon players (like the G3) was able to do 60Hz.

Cowon are you listening? 50-60Hz is the sweet spot for bass (not 70Hz nor 80Hz).

Because that's the way they are designed. What you're asking for is getting into serious sub-bass territory, and generally subs need a lot more power than a 2-way or 3-way speaker to pump out those frequencies. As a result it's a limiting factor when making a PMP.

The lowest band of the Wolfson chip's hardware EQ is a shelf, not a notch like the three middle bands. It affects all frequencies below 80Hz equally. Since it is a 'hard-coded' EQ of the S9's DAC chip, one can't choose other center frequencies than the ones available.

In short: it *does* affect 20, 40, 60Hz the same way it affects 80Hz.
