MSI showed off some neat things at CES one of them was this Android tablet- though im not yet convinced Android is the way to go for a tablet OS. This was almost an carbon copy of what i have on my Motorola Driod and while Android is pretty decent as a Phone OS, in its current form, i dont think its ready for the tablet forum factor. Much work needs to be done to adapt Android to a larger screen.
However, the MSI device itself felt nice holding it. The build quality was a bit on the lighter and cheap side, but not necessarily in a bad way. The lightness is needed if you are holding that thing for a few hours. Do remember though, it was likely a prototype. |

The main reason I don't like the iPad is due to it running an OS made for a mobile phone. Why choose Android over linux? Surely it would a)drop MSI's cost slightly, and b)have greater long-term value due to it running a real operating system?
I don't like Linux, but on a keyboardless laptop, I would prefer it. |
