Default Best way to hook up ZHD to Amp

I recently picked up a Little Dot MKIII and want to hook my ZHD up to it but im wondering what is the best way to hook it up? Is it better to go from a zune v2 dock line output or is it better or the same to just go from the headphone jack on the ZHD? Or does someone make a zune connector to rca left right like the ipod LOD's?

AFAIK a LOD doesn’t exist yet and you should just use the headphone out until further development.

The only line out is the Zune Dock, but I was reading that it does not have a true audio line out. As it has an audio amplifier in the dock so that the volume control functions on the wireless remote and Zune itself will affect the volume through the line out. Also this would defeat a portable solution.

I read that qables was working on a LOD for the Zune, but he doesn't think it's possible to get a true LOD similar to the Vision and ipod. Another thing I read about is a product that allows you plug in the Zune from the charging port to a cigarrete lighter. You can tell it's a real line out because the volume control is disabled. You only control the volume from your car stereo, but haven’t heard of anyone modding it yet.

Does anyone sell the zune connector? or do you just have to rip open a cable to get one?

Not sure if you can find the zune connector, but I assume you could be able to find it from someone like Foxconn, not sure if it’s a standard 24 pin I/O female connection, but they do sell one.

My other thought is why not call SoundGate Technical Support at +1-800-256-0808 or email them at sgtech@soundgate.com to inquire about their ZNCBLPAK from the link I posted above.

No problem, if you make one, find out more info or if SoundGate’s product can be customized or they can make one for you, please post back and let others know. Good luck with it

So maybe im not thinking this through correctly... but if this product from soundgate has a real line out then everything you need for a non portable lod they already sell seeing how they also make a kit to use 110vac standard plug to power that unit. Other then the fact it would be $90 and a big ugly mess you would want to hide lol.

At that price I would probably stick with headphone out, I doubt it would make that big of a differance worth the $90.00.

My old Clip and Fuze were able to put a clean signal through the headphone out at max volume...so I would hope a player the price of the Z:HD could do the same.
