Hello all. My cowon s9 screen broke 2 wks back! I think one of my flatmates stepped on it or dropped something on it. The worst part is that the gorilla glass isn't even scratched. There's a huge crack directly on the iAMOLED screen! Could any1 explain how that could've happened?
My s9's still under warranty. Does any1 have an estimate as to how much it will cost me to repair it? Thanks heaps!

Probably got dropped. Its common for the actual LCD(Or LED in this case) to get cracked without hurting the protective layer on top of it(gorilla glass).

I have a 16GB; it was in a tail bag and fell off of my motorcycle. Needless to say the screen was smashed!! the player still worked; I was able to get all of my data off of it. I went to the cowon web site and got an RMA. It cost $87.00 USD shipped to get it replaced. They sent me a replacement unit; not a fixed one. So I think it was worth it, because I don't think you can get a 16GB player for that kind of money. Hope this helps.

A similar thing happened to my S9 this last summer. I landed on it while playing hackysack and the screen underneath the gorilla glass was cracked all the way across, but the gorilla glass remained in perfect condition. I sent it in as soon as I could and it costed about $107 all together.
