So, what do you guys think about the IceTouch

I think that the best thing the IceTouch has going for it is its new UI.
the begining of the following video show off the IceTouch playing a video that demos the UI.

it looks great, it even has a "slide up to unlock" screen.

I of course wish that it would bring that beautiful UI goodness to the P3 in an update... but Im doubtful that will happen.

Yeah I agree Samsung did not select the best name for there latest PMP. but i dont think Samsung is really serious about this idea its just showing that Samsung has the latest technology more of a gimmick if you ask me. I wouldnt buy it!!! Really cool though keep it up Samsung!!!!

Yeah, I think it's really gimmicky.

I mean, I'd rather they kept the same UI, sacrifice the transparent thing, but with a much bigger and better screen.

I can't think of one situation where having a see through screen would be beneficial.

I was just about to agree with you, when it occured to me that the reason they can have a touch pad on the back, is because you can see your finger through the screen

To be honest, if they get the speed up to apple's then it would be pretty damn awesome! We're just THAT much closer to minority report technology! (They had a glass touch screen thing going on)

IMO tramsparent screens are quite useless. Sure it's cool but seriously as far as usability goes, I don't think so. Unless their going to develop it to the perfect multilayer transparent LCD thingy (lol I don't know what I'm talking about)

wow, that's awesome. because i'd totally like to be able to see my fat, ugly fingers when i'm watching a movie, or just browsing the menus.

buutt, i guess having a touchpad at the back is pretty cool, and might be useful...

When I heard that Samsung has been awarded with Innovation Honoree for 2 kinds of MP3 player, I thought it was going to be like the old M1, or R1 model this year again, but searching through the internet the new products have quite interesting features. First YP-H1 so called IceTouch is loaded with transparent 2 inch AMOLED display. Last year Sony Ericsson has shown Xperia Pureness with transparent mono LCD but it had crucial discomfort which was you can’t see very well from the bright side ending up getting not very good reviews. I’m excited and also doubtful as to whether the transparent AMOLED will be different. What’s even more amazing is that both sides of LCD are possible to operate by touch. If you see the review video below, they demonstrate the actual product but it doesn’t seem to operate smoothly, yet. Anyhow, I’m looking forward to the actual product that will be out.
