I splashed out on this one myself just because I liked it's style:

It's functional too, as the flat part is bendy, so can fold back into an "m" shape and not extend much further than the jacks.
Agreed, the IC doesn't make any differance in sq as long as it's not a string and two cups

BTW, don't know how much others spent on their DIY but all mine are at most $3 to $4 and when I use salvaged parts to build a short bridge IC they're practically free, you can see many of these here.

Have had a good read of that article and building my own is definitely on the "to do" list. Never having done any soldering of any kind before I thought I'd start off just buying one.

I have all the parts ordered to build a couple of cmoys on the way to me as a first diy project. Hoepfully I'll have a rough handle on soldering by the time I've (no doubt) butchered the first attempt, then I can take a step down and make my own interconnect.

I like your foam one btw, what kind of foam was that you used?

Thanks, it's made just like the other bridges in the thread, I believe that the cpt even did a tutorial on making them. Only differance is mine is covered with a material called "foamie," which you can find in art supply stores.
