Unhappy power surge from USB

hello,

i've had my creative zen mozaic for several months, and i have been charging it via USB since i got it. suddenly today i get the "power surge from unknown USB device" message, and the screen only glows grey, it won't come on.

i saw on some of the other forums that there were firmware downloads for other players that could help this problem -- is there such a thing for the mozaic? or have i fried it inside?

they dont sell them around here anymore so it looks like i'll be ordering from amazon... ai yaa...

any help would be appreciated.

You could try resetting your player and seeing if you can get it to come back to life; but if your computer detected an overcurrent on its USB port, then chances are good that a catastrophic electrical failure within your player caused it. Meaning: It's likely toast.
