Mute Sound?

Is there any way to mute the sound on the P3 without having to manually lower the volume all the way down?

Well i already know that(i feel sorry for someone who doesn't) but im talking about when playing flash games when im in class. This is just something minor, something that would be very convenient for me, but if there isn't a way then thnx anyways.

As far as I know there is no way to mute sound while playing a flash game.
However, if you don't want to look like the average American (sorry about that, just my personal experience in your country) with a poor culture, I advice you to listen to your teacher instead of playing games in class. Maybe you find your courses boring but when you're older, you may regret it.

You have clearly misunderstood. One of the reasons why i bought my P3 was to entertain me when im bored and that includes school...but not DURING class. I don't know about the schools in your country but here you can't do anything but pay attention. There are some instances where the teacher will finish early and give us free time for the remainder of the hour. This is the time when i get out my P3 and since i have nothing to do i play the games on the p3. But i want to mute it so i don't disturb others that are around me that are talking, sleeping etc...I know what you mean and i am sorry for being misleading. I am Asian, and most(not all) asian families have high expectations for their children and that includes my family and so i have to work somewhat hard. I know i wrote alot on such an unimportant topic, i just wanted to clear things up. Anyways thanks for your concern

Okay, sorry indeed I have misunderstood what you meant by "in class"

Well there is still something I don't understand: do you mean embedded games of flash player? 'Cause most flash games do not have sound and it's impossible to listen to his music while playing a flash game.
For Embedded games, there is often a mute option.

But the best to do is to turn your output into Earphone instead of Auto before playing games
