Default Is my D2 dead

When I turn it on it goes to a screen of death. Purple and green squares. When I plug in the USB does the same and never comes up in windows. Does this mean its dead? http://www.flickr.com/photos/17599751@N00/4247538515/

I got it all back. I did what this guy posted and it like a new player. I lost everything but its kool I will just reload it all http://iaudiophile.net/forums/showthread.php?t=17854
