It's got song title, album and artist as well as a progress bar and two other moving bar thingies... But it doesn't have all the features supposed to be in the themes (battery, time, album art etc) and looks the same no matter what theme I have on (except for the backdrop)?
Help much appreciated ![]() I've had rockbox on for a while now, it's just getting annoying... |

How old of a build are you using? Main Menu -> System -> Rockbox Info
What theme are you using? There is old theme that will not work in the newer Rockbox builds. |

Have you looked at this: http://www.anythingbutipod.com/forum...&postcount=100
From what I am seeing it might have not been updated in the thread. You need to update it manually. |

I don't get it... It just says
wps: /.rockbox/wps/acotil_red.wps font: /.rockbox/fonts/nimbus-12.fnt backdrop: /.rockbox/backdrops/acotil_red.bmp foreground color: FFFFFF background color: 000000 statusbar: off invert cursor: on iconset: /.rockbox/icons/silk.bmp viewers iconset: /.rockbox/icons/silkv.bmp =s |

You need to look at .rockbox/wps/acotil_red.wps, and that is the file you need to edit.

I am having the same problem. I just updated to the new 3.0 version of Rockbox and all I get are the song title, album and artist as well as a progress bar and two other moving bar thingies all at the top of the screen.
Did I miss something? |

Yes you did. Please read this thread to figure out why they don't work. Then read advcomp2019 link on how to fix a theme that's not working. It mentions the Acotil themes but the fix can be applied to any theme.

Depends on what the themes uses, it is about the same for most.

Yeah, it seems pretty easy to make my themes work with the latest builds of Rockbox by using bcg's fix here: http://www.anythingbutipod.com/forum...t.php?p=262134
I haven't been around lately, but I intend to fix all my themes and upload them to Rockbox-Themes and rbthemes. However, I have a question: If I apply this fix, does this mean my themes will no longer work with older rockbox builds? Or is it backwards compatible? Regardless, I suppose it's more important to make my themes work with newer builds rather than worrying about older ones. Okay, I tried the a new .wps file (fixed) with an older Rockbox build (17315-080503) and while it does almost display correctly, of course the progress bar is wrong. It doesn't display the .bmp file used for the progress bar, but instead displays the default Rockbox progress bar, which wouldn't be so bad, however, it's a little off in its placement (too high). So, now I know! And I upgraded my player to Rockbox 3.0 and my fixed themes work just fine with it. ![]() Now, I just have to upload the fixed themes. Uploaded fixed versions of my themes to rockbox-themes and rbthemes. Just waiting for the magic to happen. Fixed the Viewports problem that was affecting my themes and renamed the font to the new naming convention. My themes should now correctly work with the latest Rockbox builds including 3.0. Once the new versions are available for download, I'll edit the info in my ACOTIL thread, adding/changing relevant links. Last edited by advcomp2019; 10-29-2008 at 04:58 AM. Reason: please use edit |

Tmcarson1, you could read this thread, and find out what happened to the theme, too: http://anythingbutipod.com/forum/showthread.php?t=21241

Sorry to open an old thread. But, I had downloaded a couple themes that were noted as VP compatable, and they are also doing this.
I just let them install themselves by unzipping into the root. Am I missing something? Thank you very much.

First, remove this line near the top: Code: %P|progbar.bmp| Second, replace this line towards the end: If you will notice, let's call the order of these numbers A|B|C|D Code: %pb|6|0|176|184| with this: Make sure to take the numbers from the theme you are modifying and change them to order B|D|C|A Code: %pb|progbar.bmp|0|184|176|6| Also note that the file name may be something other than progbar.bmp You will need to use that filename instead of progbar.bmp I just did this with the Christmas Theme and I have the newest 3.4 build and it works fine now. |
