Just bought a p7.
I have firmware 1.15.
It seems that i cannot upgrade the firmware.
I get a network connection failure when I attempt the upgrade.
The other features in iplus work fine.
And yes, I have a tiny little skip after advancing to the next song.

switch your P7 to mtp in the option menu, load iriver firmware updater from p7disc and upgrade to 1.37.
I got rid of thr skipping issue by removing my tracks and oputting them back on. I think it had something to do with the fact all my mp3s were in one folder, when i put them back on i dragged and dropped all the artist/album folders and now no skips.

The upgrade is complete and the p7 is working better than before.

Which is quite buggy
And on APE-files you can't apply neither SRS WOW HD nor equalizer. They just do not work.
Don't know if it was in previous f/w-s.

in case you dont know , you can delete videos by selecting the file and holding it for a second or two , it asks if you want to delete. Works on photos as well.

I am on 1.37 and I havent noticed any skipping..

solved it in the end, all ok on 1.37 now apart from the 2000 file ID3 database limit, i emailed iriver about this and confirmed that 2000 was the limit , i asked if they could increase it and they said...not yet?

Is this the bug where you click on artists that begin with the letter S onwards for example and the tracks do not display when using ID3 tags?

yes , when the database reaches 2000 any songs after wont appear in the album lists , they still show in the all music list though. Hope they fix it or the sd expansion is kind of wasted.
