I don't know if this is a silly question, but is there a remote control available to buy for the s9? Is there one already included?
I'm asking because it would be very useful to me as I'm on the pushbike a lot and always like to have some sort of external remote attached to my rucksack so i can quickly go through tracks as I'm riding. Right now I have to use my old Sony PSP (the size of a brick) as an mp3 player lol, but at least it has some sort of external remote to control the tracks with. If there's no remote for the s9, then that's the only thing that's holding me back from purchasing it

There's no wired remote for the S9, or most other modern players besides iPods, for that matter.
You can however remote control the S9 via Bluetooth headphones.

Ahh that's a shame.
Even for use at work a portable remote would have been useful, instead of having to take the player out of my pockets constantly to change tracks etc. If only Cowon made a very nice remote like they did for the x5 ![]() Unless there's another mp3 player out there on par with the s9 (for SOUND quality, diverse music format compatibility, features - main interests) but has a remote??? I'm not sure about ipods they've never interested me. I might sound fussy about the whole remote thing, but seriously it would make a HUGE difference for me. I would gladly buy an x5L with the remote again if they were still around. Control via Bluetooth headphones sounds interesting I'll have a look into that, though I plan on getting Shure SE530's if that ruins that plan. Thanks for the response dfkt. Cheers. |

If I am not mistaken, setting the volume through the BT device, does not set the volume of the player itself.
Or atleast that's what I have with my Nokia BH-503 headset.

I love the wired remote on my x5l. it is perfect for the motorcycle. Helmet wired, x5l connected to that remote. Was magic.
The BT option with the s9 is doable, but BT kinda sucks IMO. Especially the battery drain. I miss having a remote when riding. Makes it a wee bit tougher to change tracks while going fast.
