First MP3 player. Could use advise.

I have a Sansa Clip+, but am dissatified with the battery life, although it is a great player. I want music on my next player and also want to download sermon messages in MP3 format from my churches website. I want to keep them separate. Can I do that on the new Sony E Series players or do I need a player with podcast support, although the sermons aren't podcasts. If I could, I would purchase the new X Series eventhough they are pricey, but they do have podcast support. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
