Hiya,
I´ve just ordered an X1060, with the justification that if I sell the dock that amazon are giving away free with it (I figure I´ll get about 50 pounds) and the headphones, it should bring the price right down. I know people rate the bundled phones but I have no idea how much they´re really worth or what model number to advertise them as. Can anyone help? I´ll be using mine with SE530´s

forgot what they are called and too tired to walk over to the box and see the manual. Im sure the details arn't hard to find. The head phones are decent though probably worth more than you will get if you sell them

MDR-NC020 Noise Canceling EX Series (13.5 mm) Silver Earbuds.
As far as I know, their noise cancelling works with the X1000 series and nothing else. I'm not sure there's a market for them unless you own an X series, but if you own an X series you already have these earbuds. |

But they´re pretty good headdphones, right? The way people talk about them it sounds like they´re worth about 30 pounds. I´ll probably just give them away, it´ll save me buying a birthday present for someone.
People talk about the X-series being expensive but I don´t think it is at all. Amazon are charging 220 pounds and are giving away a dock worth like 75 pounds for free. I figure I´ll get like 50 odd for the dock on ebay and say the headphones are woth like 25, that brings the price down to 145 pounds. Cheaper than the P3 and almost half the price of the S9 (over here in the UK) which I´m asuming neither come with headphones worth anything. I´m expecting some S9 fanboy to speak up, they seem to be everywhere on these boards. Me thinks they protest a little too much

That's because your in the U.K. You see here in the states the 32GB X-Series is priced somewhere around $375-$400. While the 32GB S9 is $260 on amazon.

Well, I´m not actually in the UK. I´m in Colombia and have no plans to return
![]() But yeah, I ordered it from the UK and my sister is bringing it out for me. 2 weeks left of no music since I was robbed of my Creative Vision M by a couple of junkies, not long now! Luckily the bastards had no idea how much my SE530´s are worth and I managed to keep ´em, so it could of been worse. Hoping the sound on the Sony to be a step up, but I guess to my ears there won´t be much difference. Anyone know if it´s worthwhile getting a portbale amp for the X series, to power SE530´s? I guess not, people seem to be talking like it comes with a pretty good internal amp. |

They probably dont have any of the exact same kind but there are probably some generic universal ones that suppliers sell on auction sites. I feel your friends pain, I lost one of mine on the bus, luckily I still had the silicone cups on my panasonic ones and they stuck on better, the ones that came on the sony ones had hardly any suction to the earphone itself.

The ex300s that come with the new A series are half-decent iems. But the ones that come with the X are lousy.
They're uncomfy and have bloated bass and treble. Don't know why they call them premium. |
