But you should be able to stream it directly from the Zune Marketplace on the Xbox 360 (if available, and you have bandwidth)... or download it there, too.
I'm honestly not sure about Dave's earlier comment that you can play protected video content from a Zune HD connected to your Xbox 360 via USB. I've never tried on the HD, but I'm pretty sure this was never supported before... if it is supposed to work now, it must be new. I was always able to watch protected Zune Marketplace content streamed from the PC to the Xbox 360, though, over my wireless network... so there was never a need to plug my Zune into it directly. No, that was my point. You can't play protected content on your Xbox from a ZuneHD via USB.

If you can, please post the movie title, definition (SD or HD), and whether or not it's a purchase or rental. Dave will need this information if he's going to look into it.

Move: "The Ugly Truth" HD Rental. Xbox sees the movie on the Zune
but returns error message about protected content when it's selected to play. |

I figured as much. MS specifically listed rentals as something that will not be transferable between the Marketplace (PC or 360) and the Zune HD. I was pretty ticked about this, but it's not likely to change anytime soon, especially with purchased content currently not sharing properly. They will likely want to fix the bugs with their intended changes, before they go back and reevaluate their stance on rentals.
