I have more MP3 players than I need. And I love it.

I'm settled in for the winter with 2 players...8GB Samsung Q2, and 16GB Sony S545. The Q2 stays home, and has some of my less frequently played music(678 songs), plus it's my podcast player. The S545 has 2,221 songs on it, and goes with me everywhere I go.

Would I like to get another one? Of course....but that will have to wait until next year.

I currently have 3 that I use now: S639 for around the house mostly, Cowon O2 for watching vids during downtime at work (lunch & stand-by time), and my clip for jogging.

I'm aiming for 31. Pretty close. Why 31? A unique one to play with per day each month. If it's a 30 day month then I take one to work with me and leave it there for the month. February I give a few away so I've got an excuse to buy more up to 31 again. There are usually three or four new ones becoming available then too.

The Clip+ is a great improvement over the Clip. I'm not sure if I like my Clip+ better than my Fuze or the reverse. I guess I keep changing my mind about this. The Sony S545 and Cowon D2+ still interest me. I would like to see more about these by those who listen to both podcasts/audiobooks and music. My fundamental unsolved issues are being able to play podcasts with variable speed playback(from half to double speed with pitch correction), and being able to play untagged podcasts in folder mode, some music, turning off the player, then having the player remember which podcast file it was last playing, and to resume playback mid file. I would also like to have a player that uses an inexpensive easily swappable battery for which spare batteries are easy to find. It seems like mp3 player makers don't seem to want to address these issues.

What do you mean you can only afford one? You've already had the Sansa, so it's not still costing you money. And never say you only need one.....what would you do if the Zune bricked? If you sold the Sansa, you'd be screwed. I think you should keep it around as a backup, just in case.
