It depends more on what music you listen to, and less on the D2.
It will play anything (doh!) so its more about what sound the headphones produce..! So the D2 is a Nissan GTR 500hp sportscar, what wheels would you like to put on? Edit: Also if you specify if you'd like IEM (earbuds), semi open (Koss Port. Pro) or closed headphones (big enough to cover your ear) it will narrow it down for us as well.

Yeah, the suggestions you gave aren't even the same style of headphones. Where you will be using them is really important to what you buy.

Depends on the price range. Right now I would be looking at something like the Hippo VB. The D2 is somewhat a 'cold' player, so headphones with more bass like the VB's would make me happy.

the D2 stock (flat) may be a bit cold for people's tastes, but this is easily remidied with the EQ, Mach3bass, etc
