Hi all,
I'm currently working on a project that requires me to customize the UCI of the SPINN. However, I'm not much of a Flash programmer and while I have no problems getting in there and getting my hands dirty, I was just wondering if anyone could answer a few questions for me. I downloaded the [spin]_skin_ver3.1.fla file from this site and I've opened it in Flash CS4 and am able to view all the content, but before I go changing it, I wanted to double check with anyone who has experimented with this. If I just need to change a few main menu titles, would altering the .PNG file be enough, or do I have to change the actual movie clip? Would a "Swap Bitmap" be enough? Thank you for any help you may be able to provide! |

Swapping the actual images as opposed to adding new ones or something in the movie clip will do fine - the movie clips only contain the 'link' to the image that is embedded in the Flash document ( or linking to some other place xD ) so changing the image that is embedded doesn't affect the movie clips that contain them.

Hey Commander_Keen,
Thank you for your reply! So, just to make sure...if I wanted to change the "MUSIC" text to "TRACKS", I just have to edit the "MUSIC.PNG" file (or whatever it's called" in Photoshop, but keep the naming the same so that Flash is still accessing the same file, and I should be good, right? Thanks again! |

Yep, that's all.
