I was just wondering. I Have a e280 and the battery is easily removable. is the connects easy to remove?

The Sansa Connect's battery is not removable. You'd have to take the unit appart to get to the internal battery, but this may potentially destroy your unit.

How many years will the battery last in the connect before you have to buy another Connect unless you want to open your MP3 up.

Could somebody answer this? We bought a Connect tonight, and are debating whether to keep it or get a different DAP.
Our main "cons" for this player are a) no playlist editing on the road, and b) non-removable battery. We're especially sensitive to this last because the laptop we most recently bought had its battery die out and now a replacement is almost a hundred bucks. I would hate to buy this hundred-dollar MP3 player and have it cost $50+ 2 or 3 years from now when the battery stops holding a charge. |

It's likely that no one participating in this forum has had a Connect long enough that its battery has died. It probably contains some kind of standard portable player battery, so if someone could identify it, they might be able to tell you. The author of this article has taken a Connect apart:
