Default Problems with E260R

Hi, I hope someone can help.

About a year ago my E260R started acting weird. When you turn it on you get the SanDisk, then the Rhapsody screens and then the message "Not enough space for music DB. Please delete 6MB". Then screen then fades to blue and red scrolling lines most of the time, sometimes just white.

I have tried over the past year every fix I have seen on here and around the web. I'm not ready to give up yet, as i think it is a software problem and not hardware.

Somebody please help.

Does it connect to your pc? If so, I would format it, which would delete all the files on it, disco and let it refresh, then reconnect again and re-firmware.

If you have already tried that or it doesn't work, you might have to try the e200tool, run a search here and you should find some info on it.

Thanks for the quick response.

It will not connect normally. It will connect in recovery mode.

I tried the e200 tool a couple of times.

If it connects with the e200tool, then it can be fixed and the problem is getting the correct fw files. I've never played with the "R" series, mines the e260 and haven't played with it in a while, other than throwing on rockbox. You may want to check this link to see if it can help you out: http://www.rockbox.org/wiki/SansaE200Unbrick
