Whats the content of the CD? Can I download it from somewhere else?
The CD was small and the cd drive of my xps m1330 has no tray. you just slide the cd in. Im concerned that if I slide the small cd in it might screw the disc drive. |

I too have an slotloaded drive, but I haven't missed something out yet. I think it is mostly documentation on the CD. You can download firmwares from Cowon's site and transfer music via drag'n'drop, or via (I think) most media players in use.

CD contains:
- Windows 98 drivers - PDF Manual - A PodCast program called "mypodder" - JetAudio Media Center (new S9 owner, btw - I love this thing!)

Where can I download JetAudio Media Center?
Is that the one for free from the Cowon website or the one that you have to pay for? |

I had a license for JetAudio in my D2 packaging, but I don't see anything in the S9 package. I think the D2 had a special version, given that it had its own upgrades on the Cowon web site: http://www.cowonamerica.com/download/

It's the same free one you can download from their website. You don't need the CD at all (well, you probably don't need that Jetaudio thing at all, as well). The version on Cowon's website will probably be more up to date than the one on the useless CD.

Win98 is now, what 11 years old? XP and later support USB natively. For 98, Microsoft has had USB support with service pack 2. Just wondering why you need the drivers? If you need it, try this http://www.cowonglobal.com/download/...0212_Win98.zip |

Im using a Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit I assume the Cowon media center would operate similarly to Creative Zen Media center. The driver would be needed in order for the media center and the mp4 to recognize each other (not sure if this is how it works but I think its is Im not good with electronics )

The driver is only for Windows 98, nothing else (since Win98 doesn't have native USB support). It's of no use for any more modern Windows version.
