x-fi detected by windows but not software

Right following on from my other post, I have now managed to get it installed succesfully using an old MTP driver I was able to obtain online.

However it is showing in My Computer and Device Manager as MTP Device and not Creative Zen X-Fi.

As soon as I plug it in, Windows does pick it up and asks what software to use for it. However no matter what I choose, the software says no device is connected even though it is blatantly visible in My Computer still.

Any ideas please?
