I notice it's possible to switch bluetooth on and off on the S9.
Can anyone tell me what they use BT for ? hopefully not file transferring. |

Bluetooth stereo audio to wireless headphones or bluetooth speakers. Period. Range not so good. No volume control from the S9 over bluetooth.
Yes, you can turn it off. |

You can also play, pause and skip forward and back so long as your Bluetooth receiver has those controls.

I think that's just the way it is with Bluetooth, someone please correct me if I am wrong. My Sony BT headphones have no volume control over my Sony mobile phone when paired, but all other functions (play, pause, back and forward) are enabled. The headphones amplify the volume itself.

I'm spoiled by my Samsung players. Bluetooth volume on them stays synced between player and headphones. I can change the volume at the P2 or P3 and have it change at the headphones. I can also change the volume at the headphones and see it change on the player.

Does the S9 use BBE/EQ over Bluetooth, and does the P3 use its sound enhancements over BT?

The P3 uses its DNSE over Bluetooth.
