MES60V Won't Sync Entire Sync List

I've tried syncing in both SongBird (using libmtp) and Windows Media Player 11. Both see the Gigabeat just fine and will _start_ syncing. They'll both sync one or two albums and then get stuck for a long time (usually several hours) before failing to sync the remainder of the sync list.

If I unplug the gigabeat, let it finish updating itself, then plug it back in, it'll sync another one or two albums before repeating the same behavior.

Anyone else seen this?
