Yeah I used WinRar. And I extracted to the ".rockbox" folder.

This is how it looks after extracting:

And yes its in MSC mode, and I can choose any of those themes.

There's your problem. You should have extracted one folder up (i.e. to the root of the player, or, in other words, into no folder at all), not inside the .rockbox folder. Try it again by doing the following:

-Delete the .rockbox folder at the top of your list above (since it's in the wrong place),
-Open a given theme's zip file in WinRAR,
-In WinRAR, click the "Extract To" button and select your Fuze under "My Computer" (do not choose the .rockbox folder inside your Fuze),
-Click OK,
-Click "Yes to All" if any "Confirm file replace" dialog boxes pop up.

That should have you sorted...

No trouble. Glad to help.

Also, in case you decide to use my "XL Fuzed" theme, the version currently up on the Rockbox Themes site was broken by recent changes in the core code...I'm awaiting its removal so I can upload a working version.

Glad I have an older version of the core code then - I love your theme!

Thanks!

In the meantime, if you're interested in updating to a more recent Rockbox build, here's the latest, unbroken version of XL Fuzed: http://www.mediafire.com/file/0my2nomg5mi/XL_Fuzed.zip *

*EDIT: XL Fuzed is back up on the Rockbox Themes site, updated and ready for action.

Is there a Finished Themes thread for the Fuze? I was only aware of one for the e2xx series...

skip252, thanks for the thanks! It simply started with me wanting a -- as you say -- clean, stylish, and informative theme for my personal use. Then, after I'd modified the XL theme to a satisfactory state, I figured I might as well make it available to others...Glad people are finding it worthwhile!

I've been playing the Pokemon Game in iboy, and suddenly out of know where the game won't load, its stays in the loading screen? I replaced the rom, and the same thing happened.

I assume you mean Rockboy? Sounds like a bug of some sort. Since you're running an unfinalized test build, quirks like this can be expected from time to time. Does it happen with other Game Boy/Game Boy Color ROMs too?

The best place to post bugs at the moment is in the official Rockbox "Test Builds" thread.* Be sure to provide as many details (player type, build number, how to reproduce the behavior) as you can to help developers with troubleshooting. There is, of course, no guarantee it will be a priority for them -- but at least this will put you on the right path.

*The Rockbox forums appear to be having some issues loading right now, so you might need to refresh the page several times for it to appear.

The folder I have is iboy, if there's Rockboy, then I'll check that out. Any link to download, just to make sure?

Thanks though.

Rockboy is a built-in Rockbox plugin, so there's nothing separate for you to download or install. To use it, you just need to open a ROM from within Rockbox, and it will automatically start. If you were playing a Game Boy/Game Boy Color ROM in Rockbox, you were already using Rockboy. Here's a link to the "Rockboy" portion of the iPod Color Rockbox manual just to give you a bit more info on the plugin (the default keys will obviously be different for the Sansa, but there's no Fuze manual at this point).

The folder containing your ROMs can be named anything you like, so "iBoy", "ROMs", and "Breakfast Cereal" will all work equally well.

Default Question on How to update Rockbox

Hello all,
I have had Rock box on my Sansa e200 for a while and can't remember it being as difficult to up date as my Fuze. 1.) Where is everybody getting the newest builds? I tried to extract to to my Fuze and it still booted up with the old one. I am running r21693-090706. I have googled the heck out of this I'm still scratching my head. Thanks

Also has the bookmarking feature been fixed?

We're getting them from Rockbox' "Official Test Builds" thread here. You want the "normal Rockbox build" link listed under Fuze.

The reason why it's tougher to update the Fuze right now is because it's still in the testing phase -- and thus not integrated into the main site or Rockbox Utility.

If you want themes to be removed on the theme site, you should poke some guys directly. There's no such thing as automatic removal of themes. This has to be done manually.

I'm going to remove your theme (once the site is back) ;;

Edit: Fortunately, the theme site is still available. However, I can't find a XL Fuzed, just the normal XL (I guess that's not the same).
