Default 4GB microSD card not being read in e250

I bought an e250. And a 4 GB microSD; ;sed it with an adaptor on PC to download music. Inserted in e250 and went to USB Mode - MSC, but...can't access it. Just does not read.

I believed that I could load up a microSD upto 32GB, and I wonder if the capacity is an issue. But no where the capacity-limit is mentioned. So...it looks weird.

Version of e250: 01.02.18A

Would appreciate if someone can provide some insight.

Yes, capacity is your issue. Version 1 e200-series players do not recognize microSDHC cards, which sounds like what you have (as the original, non-HC microSD cards topped out at 2GB). Version 1 players are also not compatible with version 2 firmware due to very different internal hardware, so the only way you'll be able to use that 4GB card with your current player is if you switch to Rockbox.
