I was having 1.20 firmware. I downloaded the 1.72 firmware from Samsung website.
I am using Linux OS on my computer, and I transferred the SYSDATA.bin and MUON.ROM files using mtp-senfile command. The files transferred successfully. After I unplugged the USB and started my YP-T9J, it showed an upgrading firmware message, and them turned off in a few seconds. Now whenever I try to start the player, only "SAMSUNG" is seen on the screen for few seconds, and then it turns off again. Please please help!! Can this be recovered? |

My problem was solved after doing a low level format (this erases all data!). See the sticky thread which explains how to do the same. After low level format you HAVE to keep ready the SYSDATA.bin and MUON.ROM files for transferring to the device (since the system files are also erased).
