Looking for an adapter for my Samsung MP3 player

I recently bought a car stereo receiver that has the cord for plugging in an Ipod.
The Ipod connection is wider than the connection on the Samsung MP3 player. Do they make an adapter that would allow me to plug the cord from the car stereo receiver into my Samsung MP3 player? The rerceiver also has a 1/4 headphone jack for plugging in an MP3 player, but I'd like to use the power/audio cord.

Any help?
