Hi,
I was hoping someone might be able to help. I want to be able to use the playlists I create in Windows Media Player on the E100. The device syncronises the songs ok but the playlists won't transfer onto the player (I think the E100 only recognises .pla format only). The only way I have found to get playlists on the device is using the dodgy iRiver Plus 3 software. Does anyone know of an easy way to convert WMA or M3U playlists for use on the E100? Or, have any tips to help out? Thanks

http://www.machinist-toolbox.com/iRi...tConverter.vbs Save it to your PC and double-click on the file to run it. Make sure the iRiver unit is set to MSC/UMS and not MTP. When you run the script you can run it on the *.m3u files directly on the iRiver unit. Simply copy the *.m3u playlists to the iRiver unit with Windows Explorer before running the script. It gives the user the option to automatically delete the *.m3u files after processing. |

Hello tmarkoski. Your script does not work for me. My player is a E100 with Firmware 1.21, and the playlists created by your script are said to be "empty" by the player.
Inspecting these playlists and those created by "iriver plus 3", they still seem pretty much alike, only spacing is different, and the originals sometimes repeat some characters at the end. (like a superfluous ". m p 3") Could you maybe track down what happened, if maybe some firmware version changed the format slightly, and adjust your script? |
