Hi all
A few months ago as my Zen was synching with my PC I opened up WMP at the same time. The Zen went suddenly blank and has been completely dead to me since, save for 5 flashing blue lights when plugged in through the USB. The PC will not recognise it, giving only the message "power surge on USB port". When plugged into the wall, the wall charger 'popped'. I no longer get the 5 flashing lights (I guess the battery is 100% drained) when plugged in. I have aslo tried charging from a Playstation 2 USB port to no avail. I've trawlled these forums but had no success. I'm guessing I have fried something on the mainboard.......could I have sent a power spike to the Zen through the USB port when I opened WMP?.......Does that sound like a likely explanation? Will replacing the mainboard fix the problem? Or maybe the battery?...Both? Thanks for your comments in advance. Jeff |
