Default 16-bit / 44.1 khz recording with Rockbox on e270?

I tried googling for this info and have been unable to locate any useful info.

Is it possible to record in 2 channel 16bit 44.1khz PCM (wav) format on the Sansa e270?

I can record in 2 channel 16-bit 22.05khz PCM format but would really like 44.1 khz.

Do I need a different WAV codec / encoder? or is a limitation of Rockbox software or the Sansa hardware?

Can someone please point me in the right direction?

I am using Rockbox 3.2 stable on a Sansa e370

Thank you

It's a Sansa hardware limitation, unfortunately. You'll need to buy a different player if you want to record at higher quality.
