Dude, I would highly recommend the Rockbox Utility for installing Rockbox onto your player. Much easier than all that complex stuff.
Also, the OF doesn't support the SDHC but Rockbox does, so once you install Rockbox it should work just fine.

If you're trying to use sansapatcher, now might be a good time to take a look at the install directions in the Rockbox manual.

v1 players: Do not support microSDHC and don't support cards over 2GB unless you install Rockbox. v2 players: Since I don't own one I don't know for sure. I think they do support microSDHC but I don't know enough about card capacity. Someone else could provide you better info on this. Or better still go to Sandisk and look up the info yourself..

This case sounds extremely similar to mine:
I wanted to install rockbox so i could use my 4GB SDHC card with it, and I didn't have a card reader, so i needed to install the test bootloader that provided rockbox usb support. that's what i needed the sansapatcher for because the rockbox utility did NOT install the USB support bootloader. I got the sansapatcher.exe from rockbox.org. Be careful though. I still don't know how i did it, but i fried my bootloader and then i spent a week and a half fixing it. You don't want to travel down that road. I haven't checked any rockbox news lately, so correct me if i'm wrong on any of the above info. |

I'm guessing you misunderstood the description of the 3.2 candidate bootloaders on the patch tracker, and then misread the install directions. Always read the directions when flashing your MP3 player
