Are you volunteering?
Number 2 person happened a while ago. Me, I'm going to wait until it is officially ready, just in case.

No much to be scared about if you install it properly and follow directions, our two boys 11 yr old & 8 yr old have been running it for a few weeks now and they never boot the OF In fact our younger one found his lost 2gb v2 and when he found out he couldn't rockbox it, he gave it to me

Well, you sort of can get it back to the original firmware from rockbox. All you have to do is close down the player and plug your player into the wall outlet. When your sansa clip opens, it should be back to its original firmware. However, when you reboot the player, it will change back to the rockbox fw.

The home button is worn out and the screen protector is made from an old screen protector for my other system.

Use it at your own risk

BTW cool wps dfkt. Wouldn't it be nice if that peak meter thing stood vertically so that when peak is high it would be different color ?

Fantastic! I've got it running on one of my 2GB clips.

And thanks to dfkt for the wps, showing the clock all the time is just what I wanted most!

Yup, exactly what I tried to explain in the Readme. At least it will work this way if you installed those binaries that I provided, otherwise if it's newer build then you'll have to hold down the left button and slide up the power slide.

Wow, I love listening to vocals with the crossfeed on. I liked the Rockbox crossfeed on the E240, but the Clip whoops the E240 in sound quality.

I've had playback hang twice while I was playing with applications or settings too much, but just straight through playback works perfectly.

am i the only one who couldnt do it right?well i did what's been told here.first dragged and dropped the bin file then unplugged it.it refreshed and said firmware upgrade is in progress and then said it's completed.then i put the ".rockbox" file.and then what what?i unplugged it afterwards and language, country selection appeared.the menu was the same as the old one except the added fm section.and i looked at the firm and it saisd v1...32P.then i shut it off.then it didnt turn on so i used the home button and slider as told and it came alive again.i did the same prosedure and now the firm is v1...32F wonder why but my main question is where the rockbox is

boreas if file is zipped, unzip and put both files (m300a.bin and .rockbox) to the root of the player. Disco and turn off, then turn on and let it install.

You may have bricked it, this is why many and rockbox site states that it's not ready for prime time yet and that you can brick your player. So far I haven't had any issues loading or updating the manual way, sorry to hear.
