Digital Output from portable player?

All,

Does anybody know of a FLAC-friendly portable player that can output in digital format for pass-thru on an external Digital Audio Convertor (DAC)?? This could be in the form of USB, TOSLINK or SPDIF connection.

I currently own a Squeezebox Transporter serving 500GB of FLACs off of my home computer and the sound is amazing! There are many more affordable, dedicated DACs on the market right now and I'd really like to explore the notion of dispensing with the computer as server for a second system away from home.

I'd envisage the setup to be something like this:

1. Portable Player
2. DAC Box (as pre-amp)
3. Power Amp
4. Speakers (and Subwoofer functioning as high-pass filter)

The only one I know is the iriver H120/H140 (or iHP-120/iHP-140) with Rockbox. They can be found used as they haven't been produced since 2004.
