powers on with ac only, frozen screen , won't charge (shampoo spill)

Hi, my zen vision w had shampoo spilled on it.

After cleaning off as much as I could, I found that the battery won't charge. I think the battery or the connections may be damaged.

The unit will power on with the ac adapter. When it powers on, it goes through the normal screens and stops at the last thing I had open, which is a list of video files. None of the buttons on the front work now. The power slide on top works and the volume buttons work. I am stuck at the list of files. I have removed the battery and cleaned the connections but I haven't opened up the unit.

Any suggestions?
