Trying to update??? Help!!!

I have been trying to put the 1.80 firmware on my T9. I downloaded the .zip file and placed it in my "systems" folder on the device, but when i turn the player on and check the firmware version, it still says 1.27? I was also wondering why my studio isn't updated either, after i downloaded a newer version.

thanks for any help, and please describe in detail if you can, because i have no knowledge when it comes to where to find files or software stuff.....if that even makes any sense.

Try copying the file in the "root" folder of your device, not in any of the folders it has...

Thanks for your reply, but how do i do this? What and where is a root folder. Sorry, not great with understanding that kind of stuff.

v1.80 is UMS only and your v1.27 may be MTP. You should change the config file to UMS storage before upgrading.
