Try to put it in Recovery Mode than update your fimware.
I don't tried it because i don't have this problem, but it worth a try

Take out the battery... leave that out for about 3 minutes. Then hold down the power button for about a minute without the battery in it. Put the battery in and try to turn it on.
If it still remains frozen, then repeat, but don't put the battery back in. Instead, again without battery, plug it into the computer and see if it gets recognized. If it doesn't then it's time to call SanDisk because they have a utility that may help you. |

I cannot thank you enough. I have been fighting with a frozen c150 for a month. I have tried many websites with extremely confusing information, no help at all from SanDisk and many suggestions from people who obviously had no idea what they were talking about. I downloaded the utility followed your instruction and had a functioning player again in less than 10 minutes.

Hi Guys,
like others here, i have a malfunction C150 and SANSA.COM doesn't support that for some reason. so again, like other, i had to search a lot until i got to this thread where a slight hope emerged. i followed the directions of the HOWTO and it worked fine (the no battery and recovery etc) but the FW update failed! so i'm back at starting point where my player is stuck (actually it's not freezed but the sandisk logo is flashing slowly which is ever more annoying as it means that the device is alive but just in some kind of deadlock). reset (20 sec menu button) isn't woking as well and of course i cannot enter the menus. I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT TO DO NEXT! any suggestions? except not bying SanDisk player next time as they definitely win the bugs per $ contest :-( |
