I've had a Creative Zen Nano Plus 1GB for a few years now, and I absolutely love it. My mom would like me to get her an MP3 player for her birthday, and I'd like to get her something similar to mine. Here is what I need it to have:
1. Takes AAA or AA batteries 2. Flash memory 3. Screen to view songs titles/folders so she can navigate easily, but it doesn't need to be able to do video or anything 4. Relatively easy to use/easy to press buttons, change volume, etc 5. Folder organization 6. At least 1GB 7. FM radio would be nice 8. Small (she'll be using it to workout, so something small and lightweight like the Nano Plus and easy to put in a belt clip case would be good). Does anyone have any suggestions? I did a search on this website (wonderful search options, by the way), but in the end, it still won't help me know if it would be a good equivalent to my Zen Nano Plus. Any suggestions would be much appreciated! Thank you! Erin |

The Sandisk Sansa Clip and Fuze fit the bill pretty well, but it is missing at least 1 feature from your list.
They both have a built in rechargeable battery, and since it's #1 on your list I'm guessing this is the most important feature to you. I'm not sure if they do #5 (folder organization) on your list either. |

They don't, they are ID3 tags only.

They also have non-replaceable rechargeable batteries.

Thanks for the info on the other players. I'd really prefer something with AAA or AA batteries, just because it is important to have the ability to recharge without being near a computer. Does anyone know if these suggested players can be charged using an AC adapter rather than the computer? Thank you again for the help!

Actually, I think I found the answer to my question-it looks like you can buy an AC Adapter that you can plug the USB into! I might go for the Sansa Clip-thank you so much for your help!
