I have a bricked 200 series sansa, shows blue ring when powered up. Tryed to follow a few guides to unbrick it, but when I try to boot it into manufacturing mode (turn off power, turn on lock, hold select, power on, hold 5 seconds, plug in) linux still doesn't recognize it with lsusb, or with e200tool. any advice?

Try reseating the daughter card. If that does work, then it sounds like it might be dead.
