Default Is the Coby MPC7058BLK 8GB any good?

Is this a decent player with descent sound quality?

Coby is one of the worst brands you can purchase, as the sound quality, build quality, and product reliability are nonexistent. I don't think any of us here will recommend this brand. Get a Sansa player, as the quality, build, and sound quality are fantastic.
It's only a few dollars more for the clip or Fuze.

+1 with The DarkSide. I use to have a COBY CD player and it has a really bad SQ and it broke in like 4 months

The one MAJOR problem with Coby's daps is that they only use a 2.5mm headphone jack not the average 3.5mm headphone jack that is on about every other brand that makes mp3 player, so you cannot use standerd headphones with any of their devices except their small usb thumb drive style mp3 players.

Huh?

The one that he/she is asking about, as well as the other DAPs I looked at on their site, clearly states "3.5mm headphone" for audio output. I'm not saying that they never made one with a 2.5mm jack, just that the ones their making now have 3.5mm.

True, the SQ coming out of it stinks, but it's a standard jack.

Thanks for the info.

I won't ever buy a Coby.
