Sony or Sennheiser?

im looking to buy some new IEM's and i love Sony, they've never let me down, but I've heard nothing but good things about Sennheiser also. The are the ones I'm looking at;

Sony Extra Bass

just to let you know, i will probably take them dirt biking

please don't suggest any others, I'm trying to decide between these. I want awesome SQ and good noise cancellation as well as them being pretty loud.

If you were already happy with the sq of the sony bud style, per your statement above, why switch? I haven’t owned a sony headphone or iem in many years so I can’t comment on them, but I still have the cx300s and have actually used them a bit lately, if it were I, I’d go for the cx400s to see how they compare to the 300’s.

well, its always good to try out new eearbuds, and if ive heard that sennheiser are pretty good, then maybe they're worth switching too, but idk not many people have replied to this thread yet

I had the Sony EX51 and the EX71. Both had horrible build quality and lasted about 6 months apiece. The cords disintigrated and finally stopped working. The newer ones may be better and have better sound but for $30 to $50 I won't waste my money again.
The Sennheiser CX300/400/500 all have a great build quality and the sound was a big improvement over both the Sony buds that I had. If I was going to buy IEMs in the sub $50 range, the CX400 would definitly be something I would check out.
