I recorded a conversation but when I went to replay it only my voice was audible, the other voice was very low (soft). Is there a software program that I could use to increase the volume of the other voice while keeping mine at the same level?

Audacity is a good free sound editor: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
It has a "normalize" function that should work nicely for you. |

Normalize would only boost the overall sound volume. If you want to make the quiet parts of a recording louder and leave the loud parts alone you'd have to use a compressor. Audacity has one built-in.

Oh, good point, dfkt... I didn't read carefully enough. Yes, Audacity has a compressor under the effects menu.
