here in the us it should be around 119-109 for that model. no ac charger though, but those are 5-15 dollars. better screen protectors can be bought for not much as said in other threads. |

A728 owner.
Good : + Sound quality is awesome. + Decent screen + Battery life Bad: - Browsing videos is a pain. Does anyone know a good way to organize videos? - No OTG playlists - Photo browsing is slow - TV-out would be nice. |

This may not be regarding the exact same player, but i figured you guys would be happy to hear this.
Just recently i purchased a new nwz s630, loved the sound quality, but didn't care so much for the not so responsive buttons( a little mushy for my tastes), also only drag and drop in OS X (a little more work for me that simply syncing with itunes) After having no albumart imported/ not being all that organized, I figured i would rather have the convenience of my perfectly organized itunes in OS X and bought the new 16 gig nano After listening to a few songs with the nano, even with the great sony earbuds, I immediatley regretted making the 20 minutes drive to the nearest apple store. The different in sound quality between the two is undeniable. So i changed my mind once again, ill figure something out with the organization... these things are for music anyways right? |

Try this out. I haven't used it myself (having a PC), but please give it a try and let us all know how it goes! |

Love:
-gr8 sound quality -ability to change BASS and TREBLE gains ( via secret menu ) It does change the sound -Build quality Hate ( not really just some opinions that sony might improve ) -To thin, preference actually I dont like the feeling that my beloved walkman might drop out of my pocket -FM radio -Capacity, PLS SONY MAKE A 32GB one or a hardisk walkman with at least 80GB of storage so I can out all my looseless song on it This are only my preference over all its a REALLY EXELLENT player Last edited by jjrosaria; 10-08-2008 at 11:29 PM. |

I have the a82x and i love it.
Pros: Beautiful design High quality material 2.4" screen long battery life Flash player Video + Picture Bluetooth Con: Has no "fun" features seen on Ipods (such as an accelerometer or "shake to shuffle" or games etc..) no FM tuner (I was terribly disapointed to know that Sony offers this on their cheaper walkmans and not on the A800 and A700 series) control buttons are not as nice as a touch spin wheel (seen on IPOD) software (or lack thereof) no on-the-go playlist Last edited by sonyfan; 09-30-2008 at 05:42 PM. |

LOVE
- Excellent sound quality, with custom EQ settings - Included headphones are a good value for those who do not want to pay more for new headphones. - Design is very mature and understated (as usual coming from Sony...) - GUI is straightforward and easy to navigate - Excellent build quality. Seams are tight, casing is durable, and the buttons feel solid. - Screen is bright and smooth. - Long battery life HATE - The video converter software should have come standard rather than having to be ordered as an optional feature - No memory stick slot. It would be great to expand the capacity and transfer photos from my Cyber-Shot camera. - No on-the-go Playlists or file deletion. Plugging my player is not only tedious, but it also makes me worry about battery deterioration every time I plug in. - Removable battery similar to the NW-HD5 would add greater longevity and value. - A customizable GUI would be a refreshing feature. |

The most annoying thing about the player is the lack of a bookmark feature for podcasts.

All I wanted from my A829 that I didn't get was an FM tuner. Oh yeah I forgot, it should be able to natively read a ID3/WMA tag containing the release year of a audio file.

like:
- very fast start-up, no need time - good design - manual equalizer - quantity of bass - can stand horizontal - cover art album - many sound options (vpt, etc) - good music library - intelligent shuffle for fun hate: - expensive - just a standard sq/output compare to other player i have - different music genre different eq, i was so tired about it - battery life standard - no speaker - minim feature - dont have touch sensitivity - cannot play FLAC - hard to drive |

Per last person my sort of:
very fast start-up, no need time - good design - manual equalizer - quantity of bass - many sound options (vpt, etc) - good battery life hate: - expensive - just a standard sq/output compare to other player i have - like other's no FM tuner - no speaker - software and software pro (should be free, no fm tuner) - dont have touch sensitivity with all this also will not play window media audio/video files (these are digital copies from a dvd movie). Also will not buy new x version until here more about it, and if it plays wma/v file too. I am leaning towards the new samsung p3 |

Pros : Excellent sound, Excellent screen for pictures (screen size not recommended for videos).
Cons : Lack of On-the-fly playlists...Why on earth they give this feature a miss on almost all of their players ?? ![]() ![]() I got this player after reading reviews..But just overlooked the fact that it doesn't have playlist support on the unit..using it very sparingly now... |
